Do you have a passion for helping kids experience God’s love? At Camp Arnes, it is our mission to lead young people to a growing, meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ through adventure in creation. We are passionate about building deep relationships, having fun outdoors and providing opportunity for people to grow in a safe environment. Each year, hundreds of campers are given the opportunity to learn more about Jesus and themselves as they spend the week with us having fun under the care of compassionate summer staff like you!
We are looking for authentic Christian leaders to join us for this summer. You will be provided with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, establish long lasting friendships and mature in your faith. FAQ’s:
How old do I need to be to work for Camp?
You must be 16 or older to work at Camp Arnes.
Is there any compensation while working at Camp?
Yes, there is! We have a weekly stipend for all summer staff.
Summer Staff: $200-$250/week
Summer Leadership: $250-$300/week
Spring Staff: $250/week
Staff members are encouraged to raise more money through our Support Program. The Camp Arnes Support Program aids you in your fundraising to make your financial asks more meaningful without complicating the process. By taking advantage of it, we can help you fundraise up to $1000 for every week of the summer you work, up to $6000!
Are there any skills or certifications required to work at Camp?
Unless you are a Lifeguard or Activity Coordinator, there are no certifications or skills required to work at Camp Arnes. However, if you have CPR/First Aid, Lifeguarding or any certification that may be useful to our activities, please let us know in your application!
When does Camp run?
Depending on your position at Camp, your start and end date may be different.
Mandatory Leadership Training: June 9 - 26, 2025
Mandatory Staff Training: June 26 - July 7, 2024
Week 1: July 7-12, 2025
Week 2: July 14-19, 2025
Week 3: July 21-26, 2025
Week 4: July 28-August 2, 2025
Week 5: August 4-9, 2025
Week 6: August 11-16, 2025
Week 7: August 18-23, 2025​​
Changeover Week (optional for all staff except Leadership and Activity staff): August 25-29, 2024
What about weekends?
Once Camp is cleaned up on Saturday, every staff member is free to either stay on site or leave for the night. We encourage all staff members to attend their local church on Sunday morning and return for 7:00pm on Sunday evening.
Do I have any break time?
On Tuesday through Friday, every summer staff member gets an hour break to rest, rejuvenate and connect with friends and family. This is the only time staff members will be permitted to have their phones (some exceptions apply).
Do I need to be available all summer in order to apply?
You do not need to be available all summer in order to apply. If you wanted, you could work one week or you could work every week! However, you must be available for our mandatory staff training week from June 26-July 7, 2024.
What is your electronics policy?
Camp Arnes provides a safe place to “power off” devices and “plug in” to God’s Word and creation for campers. With few exceptions, staff members will be expected to hand in their phones to the office at the beginning of each week. This way, there will be no virtual distractions between you and your campers.
Is there a uniform?
Every staff member will receive a Camp Staff T-Shirt that they must wear on Mondays and Saturdays. We ask that staff wear modest, non-provocative and weather appropriate clothes throughout the remainder of the week.
